I want to start describing IT change about the above painting. You all may be guessing what is the relationship of IT change process with the above painting. Well, this is a real painting by Jason Nicholas, he is a friend of mine, and I have the copyright to publish his work.
If you look closely, everyone has a different perspective on the painting and even the painter itself. No one is either right, and no one is wrong. It is the perspective of the way we look at the things. As we can say
Every business is different, and so their approach and interpretation are various.
So change is inevitable, and to manage change, organisations need an effective change process, and ITIL defines the best practices. I cannot emphasise more as there are many blogs written by many experts on the change process and, I will refer to the beautiful article written by Joe The IT Guy.
